Matthew 18:15
- "If another believer sins against you, go privately and point out the fault. If the other person listens and confesses it, you have won that person back.
- But if you are unsuccessful, take one or two others with you and go back again, so that everything you say may be confirmed by two or three witnesses.
- If that person still refuses to listen, take your case to the church. If the church decides you are right, but the other person won't accept it, treat that person as a pagan or a corrupt tax collector.
1 Timothy 5:19
- Do not listen to complaints against an elder unless there are two or three witnesses to accuse him.
- Anyone who sins should be rebuked in front of the whole church so that others will have a proper fear of God.
Galatians 2:11
- But when Peter came to Antioch, I had to oppose him publicly, speaking strongly against what he was doing, for it was very wrong.
- When he first arrived, he ate with the Gentile Christians, who don't bother with circumcision. But afterward, when some Jewish friends of James came, Peter wouldn't eat with the Gentiles anymore because he was afraid of what these legalists would say.

2 Timothy 2:24
- The Lord's servants must not quarrel but must be kind to everyone. They must be able to teach effectively and be patient with difficult people.
- They should gently teach those who oppose the truth. Perhaps God will change those people's hearts, and they will believe the truth.
Romans 13:7
